Cleaning Procedures For

NYCDEP and NYCDOH. Staff experienced in mold remediation is required. The contractor may subcontract this portion of the work.

(26) The following table contains special conditions and handling instructions for items in specific units.

Action Item / Notables Unit No. • Built-in air conditioning unit to be evaluated by the project monitor to determine proper cleaning or disposal methods. • The wood burning stove is to be cleaned by wet wiping and HEPA vacuuming. Compressed dry air (low pressure) shall be used to blow debris/dust from openings/crevices. HEPA vacuuming Penthouse must be preformed in conjunction with this procedure. The chimney shall be cleaned to the exhaust point. • The wooden chest is bolted in place; it can be unbolted for cleaning. • Wooden decking shall be cleaned after consultation with tenant. 12SE • Wall-mounted carpeting shall be cleaned in accordance with the carpet procedures specified herein. • Interior of chimney flue leading to the roof shall be cleaned. 11 S • Living room walls shall not be wet wiped. • Bureau shall be cleaned after consultation with tenant. • Painting behind bed shall not be handled. • The crawlspace located in the bathroom shall be cleaned. If demolition is required to access this crawlspace, the contractor shall provide the demolition. The contractor is not responsible los for floor replacement. • An isolation barrier shall be installed over the closet with boxes. Boxes shall not be handled or cleaned. • North column wall to be removed. 8N • Stored moldin s shall be cleaned after consultation with tenant. • The jukebox shall be cleaned. Compressed dry air (low pressure) shall be used to blow 7N debris/dust from openings/crevices in these items. HEPA vacuuming must be preformed in conjunction with this procedure. Care must be taken not to damage the items. • The piano shall be cleaned. Compressed dry air (low pressure) shall be used to blow debris/dust from openings/crevices. HEPA vacuuming must be preformed in conjunction with 5N this procedure. Care must be taken not to damage the piano. This procedure shall be repeated until the piano is appropriately clean as determined by the project monitor. • Radiator covers shall be removed and discarded. • Knitting machines shall be cleaned. Yarn on the machine shall be disposed. Compressed dry air (low pressure) shall be used to blow debris/dust from openings/crevices. HEPA vacuuming must be preformed in conjunction with this procedure. Care must be taken not to damage the 3N machines. This procedure shall be repeated until the machines are appropriately clean as determined by the project monitor. • Artwork shall be cleaned after consultation with tenant. • Slides shall be cleaned after consultation with tenant. 3S • The painting shall be covered without cleaning it.
