Environmental Characterization Report
Fitennan Hall, 30 West Broadway, New York, NY
Airtek Project #05-0867 — January 10, 2006
Airtek also conducted representative confirmatory sampling throughout Fiterman Hall for
comparison to data from other WTC sites, and to published contaminant reference points. As
an additional point of reference, Airtek reviewed WTC-specific human health risk
assessment findings for the levels and types of contamination detected in the Building. The
assessments determined that the potential impact of this contamination on healthy occupants
and sensitive sub-populations including, but not limited to, pregnant women, children, the
elderly, and immuno-compromised individuals was significant. The primary drivers of risk in
the reviewed data were dioxin and lead. These are two of the contaminants of potential
concern detected at elevated levels at Fiterman Hall.
