METHODOLOGY

The air samples were collected both inside and outside the work area.

The air samples for asbestos inside work area were collected at a flow rate of 2.0 liters/minute during removal (if necessary).

The air sample outside the work area during removal and inside the area after final clean up, were collected at a flow rate of 5.0-15.0 liters/minute.

In addition, one (1) field blank and one (1) sealed blank were also analyzed for QA/QC purposes.

All samples were collected on 0.8 micron, 25mm diameter cellulose membrane filters, using an open three piece cassette.

Aggressive air sampling after final clean up was conducted following the guidelines established by NYC DEP Title 15, NYS DOL Industrial Code 56 and EPA Guidelines.

The air samples were further analyzed following the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Procedure NIOSH 7400.
