Re: American Stock Exchange
Roof Asbestos Debris Cleaning
Dear Ms. Hoover.
Enclosed please find the project management air monitoring results for the asbestos
abatement performed this past weekend to clean asbestos contaminated debris from the roofs of the
American Stock Exchange. Asbestos contaminated ash debris resulting from the World Trade
Center attack was cleaned from the 10th and 15th floor roofs.
A licensed asbestos abatement contractor, LVI Environmental Services, Inc., isolated
roof areas from the rest of the building and removed the debris using HEPA vacuum and wetthe
cleaning methods. The work was performed in accordance with federal, state, and New York City
regulations, and protocol established for this project by the NYC Department of Environmental
Protection.
All air sample results meet the clean air requirements as stipulated by federal and state
regulations. Results are considered satisfactory as every final air sample analyzed by Phase
Contrast Microscopy (PCM) demonstrates an airborne fiber concentration less than .01 fibers
cubic centimeters of air. per
Within 35 days you should receive a waste manifest from LVI Environmental Services,
documenting proper disposal of the asbestos contaminated debris. Please feel free to contact us if
you have any questions concerning this project.
Sincerely,
C es filbert, .D., M.S.
