MEMORANDUM November 18, 2001

TO: Michael Burton, PE Executive Deputy Commissioner

FROM: Robert C. Adams, CIH, CSP Director EHS Services

RE: Air Sampling Report - AMEX 30*^ Floor

Warren & Panzer Engineers collected air samples on the 30* floor of the American Express Building on November 17, 2001. The samples were submitted to ATC Associates analytical laboratory for analysis by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), an analytical method that specifically identifies the presence of asbestos fibers. The results of this first round of sampling are attached. None of the three samples collected revealed the presence of asbestos fibers.
