SUBJECT: 130 Liberty Street (Deutcshe Bank) TRU 00345MN003

An inspection was conducted on June 25, 2003 of various areas of the building along with Mark Hopper of Tishman (GO), Noel Drago of Ambient Group, and PAL (asbestos contractor). Presently, the asbestos project scheduled for the damaged area of the north face had been completed about the end of May 2003. Inspection revealed that no WTC debris was visible. The damaged areas (7th -24th Fl.) were now "shored up" and enclosed.

There were workers present in the building who were all dressed in full PPE doing general housekeeping duties.

Inspection of the roof revealed that it contained a layer of gravel on a flat roof, beneath the gravel WTC debris was visible. There were numerous openings on the roof which led into the building, also the HVAC equipment was on the roof, none of these were isolated. Hopper said that DDC had been to the roof sometime after September 11 and did a gross clean-up. since then nothing additional had been done.

The facades had not been cleaned and were draped with construction curtains.

Mark Hopper said that they were hired only to restore the structural integrity of the damaged portion of the building, he said he did not have intimate details about the Asbestos issues concerning the building. He referred me to John Leitner of Ambient Group.

Hopper was informed that all final clearance air monitoring results are to be submitted to DEP within 24 hours. In addition, sampling data for the other areas of the building's interior and exterior were to be submitted to DEP. He said he'll forward my request to the appropriate parties.

On follow up I contacted John Leitner of Ambient and was informed that all areas of the building has been deemed to be Asbestos contaminated. This was based on the numerous positive they obtained a while back. Presently, no determination has been made as to when the rest of the building would be cleaned. This matter would be resolved pending insurance issues.

All issues concerning molds had been resolved and was approved by DOH.

The following are contact numbers for individuals who can provide more info on the building:
