This, -report presents the results from the analyses performed on four samples which were submitted by a representative of ATC Associates. The samples were analyzed for the presence or zfs absence of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and dibenzofurans (PCDFs) using a modified version of USEPA .Method 8290 as described below.

METHODOLOGY

, Sample Extraction -

p Each sample was spiked with ^^CT2-labeled PCDD/PCDF internal standards (Table 1) and extracted with toluene in a Soxhlet extractor. The extract was quantitatively transferred to a Kuderna-Danish concentrator, concentrated, and solvent exchanged to hexane. The hexane extract was then spiked with 2,3,7,8-TCDD-^’Cl4 enrichment efficiency standard (Table 1) and processed through a the analyte enrichment procedures described below.
