Findings and Recommendations

The results of the survey found that the debris contains less than 1% asbestos. Asbestos Containing Material is defined by NYC and NYS as that which contains greater than 1.0 % Asbestos by Weight

I’ve attached a memo from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection regarding their position on asbestos clean-up practices. Particular coiisideration should be given to items 1-4. It is not necessary to hire an asbestos contractor to clean-up the dust in the building.

If you have any questions concerning these results please do not hesitate to call me at (212) 875- 9506.

Sincerely,

Matthew Stock President GAC Environmental, Inc.
