Re: Asbestos Cleanup of 125 Barclay Street

Dear Mr. Pepe, asbestos survey at 125 H. A. Bader Consultants, Inc. performed a thorough Center Disaster. The Barclay Street after the September 11, 2001, World Trade survey included air and surface sampling for asbestos. an accredited Air samples were taken on each floor and were analyzed by microscopy (TEM). TEM asbestos laboratory using transmission electron asbestos fibers analysis is very accurate for finding even trace amounts of Protection Agency (EPA) present in the air. The United States Environmental (AS/mm2) as the clearance uses 70 asbestos structures per square millimeter occupancy after level for determining whether school areas arc safe for re 125 Barclay completion of asbestos abatement projects. All air samples at AS/mm2. Street had asbestos structure concentrations well below 70 Barclay Street to A total of 49 dust/debris samples have been taken at 125 laboratory. 5 samples were date and were analyzed by an accredited asbestos a a identified as asbestos containing materials (Ac;;M). An ACM is defined material with greater than one percent asbestos. 17 samples were found to no asbestos have trace (i.e., less than 1%) asbestos content. 27 samples had detected.

Asbestos concentrations less than one percent are not regulated by the US EPA, New York State Department of Labor (DOL) and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Therefore, only areas where asbestos dust/debris contained greater than one percent asbestos were filed with the appropriate regulatory agencies. This is consistent with EPA, DOL and DEP regulatory procedures.
