Re: Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management 7 World Trade Center pt, 7th, & 23rd Floors NY, NY Project # 96-1346

Dear Ms. Giliberti

We write with reference to our letter to our letter dated July 2, 1998 (copy enclosed) where in this office approved a cost of $12,864,619.00 for the alteration work listed under items 1 through 8.

Item #8 represented costs of $356,186.00 for the revised “Hurricane Wall” inclusive of upgrading as per your letter dated June 26, 1998. Having reconsidered this option, we are now requesting that this revised “Hurricane Wall” be substituted with the specification represented in your letter dated June 15, 1998 (copy enclosed) at a cost of $473,870.00. This causes the work cost to be increased by $ 117,684.00.

The following is a breakdown of the projects budget.

Construction Cost Budget $14,287,986.00 Landlord’s Contribution - $ 1,668,858.00 Maximum City Construction Cost $12,619,128.00
