Re: Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management 7 World Trade Center 1”, 7* & 23"' floor New York, N.Y. Project #96-1346

Dear Ms. Gilbert!:

We write with reference to your letter dated June 11, 1998 received by this office on June 15, 1998.

We respectfully disagree with your contentions that DRES has failed to approve or disapprove the work cost as delivered on May 28, 1998. On June 4'*', 1998, within 5 business days of receipt of an incomplete Workifest submission, this office after reviewing the estimate responded in writing (copy attached). As indicated in the letter, the “WorkzVost” could not be approved due to various discrepancies, clarifications, and substantial omissions.

In response to our letter, your office and Ambassador Construction has been providing information and revised costs under various cover letters dated June 11, 1998. Further; more as per the lease Art. 6 (b) under the “Work Cost” definitions (d), a cost for utilizing the fuel lines was only submitted tpdof, June 16, 1998.

Under the circumstances, we believe that these piece^ubmissions of the “Work Cost” estimate\by your office has a direct impact on the City’s ability to review and subsequently approve the “Work (Zost’^ and Ihtreforf

Sincerely,

Richard J. Ramos Executive Director/DRES
