8. OCCUPANTS INSTRUCTIONS (verbatim as per Appendix L attached)

8.1 Frequency of Drills as outlined in Fire Department Rules - once every three months for first two years and once every six months thereafter. 8.2 How conducted - written notice of time and date transmitted to each tenant. Floor Warden, Deputy Floor Warden and Searcher at least three days prior to Drill date. They will then inform all occupants on their floor by voice and/or written communication of the date and time of the Fire Drill. Immediately prior to the Fire Drill, the building Public Address System will be used to inform occupants of the floor that it is time for the Drill to begin. 8.3 Participation - tenants are informed that skeleton crews may remain in the office to conduct business, with the stipulation that those vzho remain during the first Drill must participate in subsequent Drills. All employees participate. All will participate by leaving office areas and proceeding to designated stairvzays as directed by Floor V.’arden, Deputies and Searchers. 8.4 Control and Supervision - Floor Warden is in complete charge of the Drill on the specific floor. Deputies supervise assigned units. Fire Safety Director and Assistants observe, give a brief talk on the purpose and objectives of the Fire Drill program and answer any questions. 8.5 Recording of details and result of Drills - record of all information regarding Fire Drill and dates of occurrences are kept on file in the Security desk, 3rd floor. 9.1 Location - Security Desk, 3rd floor, Main Lobby 9.2 Requirements: 9.2.1 Adequate illumination - provided by electric lighting fixtures and diesel generator operated emergency lighting system.
