SUBJECT: CONTRACT NO. LT-245, REHABILITATION OF BRIDGES OVER
DYER AVENUE AT W.37th, W.38th AND W.39th STREETS
BETWEEN 9th & 10th AVENUES, BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN
Dear Mr. Novotny:
Regarding your letter of November 2, 1981, pertaining to the
subject contract, please be advised that, per discussion with your Mr.
Aggarwal, we understand that your office has copies of Contract LT-160.019
and LT-160.020 for the constmetion of the New York Expressway approaches
to the Lincoln Tunnel. Additionally, on November 16, 1981 we hand de
livered drawings from Contract No. MHT-6, dated January 15, 1935, relating
to the construction of the Dyer Avenue approach to the Lincoln Tunnel.
Subsequently at Mr. Aggarwal's request, we plotted the sewer in 1
formation from the aforementioned contracts onto appropriate Contract ♦

LT-245 base drawings (Drawing No. SK-108/81). These, drawings were de

livered to your office on December 11. It was anticipated that your review
would continue upon receipt of this information. Since bids for Contract
LT-245 are now scheduled to be received on February 25, 1982, we request
that you provide any comments or suggestions by February 11. I
Regarding advanced coordination on this project, we are appreci
ative of your October 5, 1981 letter, providing this office with the Sewer J
Maintenance report, which detailed results of the walk-thru inspection of
the combined sewer in W. 39th Street, performed in response to our earlier
letter describing the street settlement and intended rehabilitation.
