B. Subcontractor shall note that the "Port Authority of New York and New Jersey" (P-ANYNJ) must review and ap- prove the preposed construction operations within sixty (60) feet of their facilities before work is started. No equipment or materials shall be set, placed, stored, erected, or crossed on or over the facilities of the "Port Authority of New York and New Jersey" without ’written authorization from the Con­ tractor. The “Port Authority of New York and New Jersey" facilities are defined as all areas within the easements provided to "PANYNJ" for the "PATH-Tubes", river water intake lines, river water pump room, and river water outfall lines. 1.05 SUBCONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR EVALUATION A. The Contractor, Developer and Engineer make no repre­ sentations, regarding the character or extent of the subsoils, water levels, existing structural, mechani- cal and electrical installations, above or below ground or other subsurface conditions which may be encountered during the Vlork. The Subcontractor must make his own evaluation of existing conditions which may affect methods or cost of performing the Work, based on his own examination of the facility or other information. Failure to examine the drawings or other information shall not relieve the Subcontractor of his responsibility for satisfactory accomplishment of the Work. 1.06 SHUT-DO^T^S A. Shut-Down of Existing Facilities 1. Subcontractor shall include in his progress schedule dates for shut-down of existing systems and con.nection to existing systems. 2. All shut-downs shall be arranged by the Subcon­ tractor through the Contractor under the super­ vision of the "PANYMJ", All related costs shall be the responsibility of the Subcontrcictor - 3. The Sub-contractor shall advise the Contractor a minimum of fourteen (14) days in advance of the dates the Subcontractor will be prepared to tie into or work on the existing lines.
