F. OBSTRUCTIONS 1. When a pile meets an obstruction which will damage the pile tip or cause the pile.to drift off location, the ob­ struction shall be removed by spudding, augering, drilling or other approved methods, and the pile redriven. 2. If in the opinion of . the Contractor a pile has been damaged by obstructions during driving, or otherwise does not meet specification requirements, it will be abandoned and a replacement pile or piles shall be driven at no addi­ tional cost to the Contractor. .G. TOLERANCE 1. Piles shall be accurately located and their locations at cut-off elevation shall not vary more than 3 inches from the plan locations shown on the Contract Drawings. 2. No pile required to be driven plumb shall be out of plumb more than 2 percent.

H. CUT OFF 1. The tops of all piles shall be cut off at elevations indicated o.n the Drawings or as specified by the Foundation Engineers. The cut shall be clean and to a true plane. ■ I. ABANDONED PILES 1. Abandoned piles shall be pulled or shall be cut off two feet below specified elevation. J. ANALYSES AND CORRECTIVE MEASURES 1. The analysis and redesign work called for herein shall be performed for the Contractor by tlie Foundation Engineer. Cost for this Work shaj.l be at the Subcontractor's expense. 2. The Foundation Engineer shall analyse the piles, as driven, to determine whether corrective measures are required. If corrective measures are not required, approval will be given to. prex-eed with the concrete work and there will be no cost for corrective work to the Subcontractor.
