12. Those splices and terminations which are not shown on the Contract Drawings and are not speci­ fied herein, shall be made' in accordance with the cable manufacturers* printed recommendations pro­ vided such recommendations are approved by the Port Authority Engineer. 13. Materials specified herein or called for on the Contract Drawings shall be as follows: a. Friction tape shall conform to the "Tenta­ tive Specifications for Friction Tape for General Use for Electrical Purposes" (Desig­ nation: D69) of the American Society for Testing and Materials. b. Plastic tape shall be similar and equal to "Scotch. Electrical Tape No. 33" of the Min­ nesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. Equal tapes of the Bishop Manufacturing Cor­ poration or the Permacel Tape Corp, will be acceptable. c. Tapes and other splicing materials shall be used only during the period recommended by the manufacturer and only if their condition is such as to meet the manufacturer’s stan­ dards. 14. The Sub-Contractor shall fasten a cable tag to each end of each cable, wire or group of wires comprising a circuit or feeder and to each of the foregoing in the manholes through which such wires run or at which they terminate. Each tag shall bear the respective circuit feeder or cable designation and shall be fastened to conductors at both ends of the tag with a 1/16 inch diameter monel metal wire. The ends of the tag shall be . rolled around the wire in a manner approved by the Port Authority Engineer. The circuit and feeder designations for tags shall be as directed by the Port Authority Engineer. Tags shall be placed on wires so that they will be readily visible and where a circuit or feeder contains two or more conductors, the tie wires for the tag
