Port Authority of NY & NJ One World Trade Center New York/ NY 10048 RE: V/TC 5396; Relocation of River Water Intake LineS/ Borough of Manhattan Att;Mr. Roger L^-Ienzo Gentlemen In reply to your submittal of revised plans for the referenced t project v-^ith a letter dated October 4/ 1932/ and a meeting on the same date/ please be informed of the following comments of this Department: 1) As Stated in your submittal letter, the contractor shall be responsible for the uninterrupted function and main­ tenance of all existing sewers in the projects area during the ctanrse of the work. However, in order to ensure the structural integrity of these sewers, the complete details of the sewer supporting system over the proposed intake and utility lines.should be submitted for review prior to the start of construction. 2) It is our understanding that no new sevzer work is proposed or required under this contract/ and no City sewers will be used as outlets for any dewatering.
