1. Meeting this Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. to go over contract issues that EPA has raised regarding indoor clean-up. Also to discuss EPA’s and Jerry Nadler’s (experts) recommendations regarding the scope of work (which is extensive).

2. Chris Ward spoke to Jerry Nadler at Friday’s meeting about having Jerry’s experts sit down and discuss the scope of work with EPA. EPA is discussing, but probably will not decide until they have feedback from the peer group meeting being held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday. EPA is cautious because Nadler’s experts have asked for everything under the sun. EPA is also concerned that he has backed off his public stance that his office would organize building and tenant associations.

FYI, Chris committed to Nadler that this is something DEP would be willing to assist in. Krish and I have some thoughts about including this in the contract for the air monitor to do. Overall, Chris feels Friday’s meeting went well because Jerry Nadler committed to keeping the public and press at bay should the date slip because of his concerns. Also, his office committed to arbitrating some end point should their scientists and government scientists get bogged down in a scientific debate (which will happen). All this means is the date for indoor cleanup will slip, however, we continue to push.

3. The Hotline pre-bid conference went off today; generally it went well - will know for sure on Thursday when the bids are due (Thursday, 11:30 a.m.).

4. Exterior Building cleanup - To date, 32 owners have said yes and signed license agreements. 11 owners have said no. (Many reasons involved in no answers.) More encouraging is that 39 owners have said that their buildings are debris-free and inspections have proven that, so take 39 buildings off the list.
