Cleaning of Exteriors + Roofs: DEP Plan 3/29/01 v V
There are now approximately 200 buildings that have been identified for cleaning south of Chambers, including office as well as residential buildings. However, this number is very fluid because some owners are cleaning on their own, and other buildings are still being added.
Therefore,DEP is not releasing the addresses but will respond to requests for information about specific buildings. ;
I. If callers want to know whether their building is included, take down the address and pass the information on to the DEP supervisor at the hotline who will then get the I information from DEP about the building in question.
2. If callers say they see dust on the roof of a neighboring building (or buildings), try to get the specific address(es) of the building(s) they are referring to and pass this on to the DEP supervisor.
3. If callers identify buildings that are not on the DEP list, it is possible that'they may be added, given where they are located and an assessment by DEP.
Buildings will be cleaned by professional companies using protocols required for ACM (Asbestos Containing Material). This does not mean every building has ACfVl, but this protocol is being used since the dust is not being tested before the cleaning.
