NYC 9/11 Public Portal Document

•• J vulnerable than they would be if they were anyplace else in America." As for finances, the poll found many New Yorkers have been suffering since the attacks. Twenty percent say they've been hurting a great deal financially since September 11, and another 23 percent say they've been hurt somewhat. Sixteen percent say they're hurting only a little, and 36 percent say their finances have not been impacted. "There has been very widespread financial and emotional impact," Blum said, "and it isn't just confined to those who live and work Downtown who may have actually suffered a personal loss." As more time passes since September 11, the poll also found, the attacks are having less of an impact on how city residents feel about Arab New Yorkers. Responding to a question also asked in another survey in November, less New Yorkers now say they are more suspicious of Arabs. In the latest survey, 44 percent say they are more wary of Arab New Yorkers than they were before September 11. Fifty-one percent say they are not, and 6 percent are unsure. For all questions, the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent. <http://www.nyl.com/images/homepage/vertical_bar .gif> <http://www.nyl.com/images/beats/other_stories .gif> <http://WWW.nyl.com/images/general/pixl.gi f> MAR IITH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentlntid=19722> Six Months Later, A City Remembers MAR IITH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19746> Schumer Calls For Aid For Struggling Non-Profits MAR IITH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19747> Possibilities For Transit Rise From Rubble MAR IITH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19745> St. John's Returns To March Madness With 9th Seed MAR lOTH New Yorkers Don't Believe Downtown Air Is Safe, Poll Finds MAR lOTH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19724> Hijackers Reportedly Displayed Pentagon Model MAR lOTH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19731> Orthodox Patriarch Vows To Rebuild Church On WTC Site MAR lOTH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/lndex.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19732> Families Oppose Splitting Donations To Police Union MAR lOTH <http://www.nyl.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=l&subtopici ntid=l&contentintid=19738> St. Patrick's Day Celebrated Early In Bronx Parade
