Gilsenan, Michael From: Kelpin, Gerry [NYCDEP/QUEENS/GERALDINEK] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 1:41 PM To: Gilsenan, Michael Subject: Reducing Asbestos Sampling sites

On next Monday's conference call, there will be a discussion of revamping the current sampling. Each agency is supposed to indicate the sites that it would recommend continuing or terminating sampling.

Based on the sample results at the twenty sites that we have been monitoring, it seems that we could recommend discontinuing all of them if EPA or DDC or DEC agree to continue to monitor at representative locations which might be defined as areas where debris is being removed, processed or carried along. I will forward a "strawman" that Harold put together. We would not recommend stopping any of the school sites for now.
