This Division has not been notified by the Bureau as to what your responsibilities are involving the asbestos air monitoring contract in lower Manhattan. I understand that you have accepted the obligation to perform functions under the direction of Mike and are also working in conjunction with the asbestos unit in this matter.
This arrangement was made between you and Mike without notice to or involvement of this Division. This Division also has no knowledge of the functions you are performing or the amount of time your are expending on this project. Be advised that it is top priority that the Division maintains its hazmat emergency laboratory preparedness at all times. This includes maintaining 2 hazmat chemists devoted to the analytical lab duties without interruption and an asbestos analyst present at all times during normal office hours. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this matter. Kim
