Commitments Made and Issues Raised Meeting with Residents from 125 Cedar Street June 26,2002

Commitments Made:

1. EPA will communicate to the residents what Bob Fitzpatrick’s role in the cleanup process will be.

2. Mike Gilsenan will coordinate with NYC DOH on getting a mold expert to do a walk through. a. Mold is on the ceilings and the ceiling is made of plaster.

3. EPA will determine whether there will be an OSC for the cleanup. a. Will the OSC coordinate with Bob Fitzpatrick? b. Will the OSC be present and supervise the work? c. Who will document EPA’s involvement?

4. Bob Fitzpatrick will research ways to deal with clothing exposed to asbestos? a. Does cleaning work and, if so, what method? b. Does ATSDR have a study?

5. Residents will make a list of what items were removed from the apartments and where it is being stored. a. Residents will also include the condition of the items when they were placed in storage.

6. Mike Gilsenan will check on containment procedures for the Deutsche Bank building due to its proximity to 125 Cedar.

7. Mike Gilsenan will ask 114 Liberty to supply their environmental data from building cleanup. a. This will tell if they are doing an asbestos abatement and the results.

8. EPA will schedule a general walk-through with residents for Monday, July 1,2002. a. Mike Gilsenan will assign someone from the DEP for Monday, July 1“. b. Bob Fitzpatrick and Ben Barry from EPA will also be present. c. A second walk through will be scheduled to remove personal articles residents want to keq).

9. Mike Gilsenan will make a general time line for the cleanup process and supply it to the residents.
