Ms. Alessandra Sumowicz, Director May 8. 2002 Mayor’s Office of Environmental Coordination 100 Gold Street - Room 2601 New York, NY 10038

Dear Alessandra,

Thank you in advance for your assistance in making Dore LaPosta at the EPA aware of Maxons Restorations, Inc. Certainly this latest action by the EPA and its federal, state and city partners can become quite a challenge if the most qualified parties are not involved from the outset.

As you are aware, Maxons played a vital leadership role in the recovery of the damage that resulted from the fallout from 9/11. Our experienced crews were responsible for the restoration of Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Chapel as well as numerous office buildings and over three thousand apartments throughout Battery Park City and lower Manhattan. We were recognized for our efforts in an international feature on CNN.

Maxons has been providing emergency disaster restoration services throughout the New York metropolitan area for more than 50 years. We work closely with many of New York’s leading organizations to help them quickly recover from unexpected catastrophes - always with excellent results.

Our team of professionals is specially trained to deal with the aftermath of any catastrophe, large or small. With nationally recognized Certified Restorers^ on staff, MAXONS can determine the fastest and most cost-effective response to any loss. We coordinate and oversee every phase of this critical restoration work to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient and proper manner.

Maxons is also a registered service provider for the City of New York and possess the proper equipment including HEPA vacuums, personal protective equipment, specialized cleaning supplies, etc. Please note that all of the projects we completed received full site clearance and were able to be safely inhabited by their occupants with a minimum of disruption and delay.

I have enclosed information about our organization to better acquaint you with our capabilities and past accomplishments. If you would like additional information about our company please feel free to check out our web site www.maxons.com or call me directly any time at 212/447-6767.

I will contact you within the week to determine how Maxons can best provide assistance to the agencies coordinating this massive clean-up effort in lower Manhattan.

Very truly yours,
