attbm3vh.ciat Chris, As we discussed, it's time for us to pursue our agenda of closure with respect to the cleanup. As you can see. Brad is articulating the same to Sharon for the D/M. Please let me have your thoughts. Thanks, Bob P.S. As originally discussed, EPA has set up a meeting for 12/5,1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Jane Kenny, Erin Crotty, Ron Tramantano, and NYSDOH. I am suggesting NYCDOH also attend. —Original Message— From: Avaltroni, Robert Sent: Tuesday, November 19, 2002 10:12 AM To: '[email protected]' Cc: '[email protected]'; Ward, Chris Subject: FW: MTA

Kathy. As per our discussions, we are vehemently opposed to the MTA posting. As discussed, unfortunately, this has never been run through Chris Ward or myself and in fact contradicts the position we chose to take since the inception of the program. EPA has done a terrific outreach job and the people of Lower Manhattan need to be reassured that the cleaning methods employed since inception, accompanied by a multi-faceted cleanup initiative, gives them reason to be confident as they pursue their goals living and working in Lower Manhattan. Sharon and Bob, I think that we need Dan D. and Chris W. to weigh in on this immediately with Jane Kenney to make the NYC position clear. Please advise.
