December 17,2002 114 LIBERTY STREET REMOVAL OF DUST, DEBRIS, AND CONTAMINATED MATERIALS

50. Worker Decontamination Enclosure System: shall mean that portion of a decontamination enclosure system designed for controlled passage of workers and other individuals and authorized visitors, consisting of a clean room, a wash room, and an equipment room separated from each other and from the work area by airlocks and curtained doorways.

51. Work Site: shall mean premises where abatement activity is taking place and may be composed of one or more work areas.

1.02 INDUSTRY STANDARDS:

A. Except where these Design Documents include more stringent requirements, applicable construction industry standards have the same force and effect as if bound or copied directly into Design Documents. Such standards are made a part of the Design Documents by reference. Individual sections indicate which codes and standards the Contractor must keep available at the Project Site for reference.

B. Where compliance with two or more standards is specified, and they establish different or conflicting requirements for minimum quantities or quality levels, the most stringent requirement will be enforced. Refer any requirements that are different, but apparently equal, and uncertainties as to which quality level is more stringent, to Ambient Group, Inc. for a decision before proceeding.

C. Each entity engaged in work on the Project is required to be familiar with industry standards applicable to that entity’s work activity. Copies of applicable standards are not bound with the Design Documents.

1. Where copies of standards are needed for performance of a required work activity, the Contractor shall obtain copies directlyfrom the publication source.

1.03 SUBMITTALS:

A. For the Owner's records, submit copies of permits, licenses, certifications, inspection reports, releases, jurisdictional settlements, notices, receipts for fee payments, judgments, and similar documents, correspondence and records established in conjunction with compliance with standards and regulations bearing upon performance of the work. This includes landfill and hauling permits and other documentation of disposal of contaminated waste.
