Tribeca Bridge The Tribeca Bridge is 240 feel long, 22 feet wide and weighs 250 tons. It opened to pedestrian traffic when SBjyvesant High School opened in 1992. The bridge is the longest prefabricated span of its kind. The bridge was transported by barge from Delaware in February 1902. It was lifted from the barge by crane and later hoisted to its foundation on February 29. 1992. It links Tribeca in lower Manhattan with Stuyvesanl High School and Battery Park City al West and Chambers Streets.
