MEMORANDUM
To: Brian Lieberman, Esq.
NYC Law Department
From: Michael J. Egan,
Executive Assistanfto the Commissioner
Re: DEP material related to the World Trade Center (WTC)
Date: October 16, 2003
Included in the material we are turning over to your office are the DEP Biweekly reports fi-om
the Commissioner, to the Mayor, with references to the World Trade Center disaster. In the attached
reports are issues of a confidential nature such as security measures taken or planned by DEP, which
should not be distributed outside of your Department.
We recognize the need to provide you with complete information for your use regarding the
issues related to the World Trade Center so we have provided you with the complete reports without
removing confidential issues, but some of the items, like the issues related to security, should be
deleted before they are sent out of your office to any other parties.
Also, I am requesting that either myself or our General Coimsel Mark Hoffer be contacted
before any distribution of these materials are given to any party outside the NYC Law Department. I
can be reached at (718) 595-6573 and our General Counsel; Mr. Hoffer can be reached at (718) 595-
6528. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.
