ALCP Activities
ALCP field staff has been performing inspections of all buildings where telephone notifications were received or where building owners requested assistance. Staff performed site visits in a grid pattern to determine the activities performed by the building owners, to provide building owners or managers with the advisory “Building Maintenance Issues Involved in Reopening Buildings”, and to request any copies of any air tests performed after clean-up.

Daily asbestos worker examinations are being scheduled. Individuals must submit completed applications. At the completion of the examination, individuals who satisfy the certification requirements are being issued temporary certification for clean-up activities in the vicinity of the WTC only. The permanent certificates will be issued within three to four weeks.
Staff has been responding to telephone inquiries fi-om building owners and tenants seven days per week. The number of concerned tenants who are re-occupying their homes and are calling for information regarding air quality has increased. Requests for data are also increasing.
