World Trade Center Exterior Building Cleanup

Once some lingering legal issues are resolved (which is expected to happen on Wednesday, 4/24) DEP plans to mail explanation letters and release forms to all building owners whose property has been identified as having residual World Trade Center debris.

Once DEP receives the release forms from the building owners, cleanup can commence. DEP expects to start cleanup the week of May 6. At the same time the letters are being mailed, DEP will meet with the contractors to finalize cleanup plans. In addition, DEP will schedule meetings with the Downtown Alliance and Building Owners Management Association to explain to their members how the cleanup will proceed.
