• Upon NYPD’s inspection and approval of vehicles and personnel, NYPD will escort
the contractor’s vehicles to a chcciqwint at the perimeta* of the restricted area.
• Any other personnd joining the crew at that time will have to presort proper ID at
that point.
• €ontractot(s) may be required to undergo another overall vdricle and ID check at that
time.
• Once NYPD is satisfied and clears the vehicles and personnel for admission into the
restricted area, NYPD will escort die contractor vebicle(s) to the worksite.
• *11118 procedure must be followed each and every time the contractor requires
vehicular access to the site.
Procedure for Residents;
• Residents must show proof of residency and photo ID to access their apartments.
Upon NYPD satisfaction of residency, each resident will be escorted by NYPD
officers to their apartments and allowed 15 minutes to gather belongings and that
residents must vacate the premises.
• Initial vehicle access is required by NYPD at South Street and Catherine.
• Access to this area is located at Battery Place and West Street
Access to rite Battery Park City Area;
• Battpry Park City Zone from Battery Place to Liberty Street, West Street to Hudson
River. Within this area, Liberty Street to Rector Place is a frozen zone and access will
be granted on a case-by-case basis. BPC North residents should alter at Chambers &
West and walk down the foot path and BPC South residents should enter at Battery
Park Place and West.
• . Residents and Contractors can access buildings South of Rector Place.
• NYC Parks Police are permitted to enter Battery Park City & the North Cove area
only. Access to the Red Zone is prohibited.
