Hi. state Dept, of Labor is looking to scale back its residential assistance program , which had been multi-county. This program makes HEPA vacs, air conditioners, filters, etc. available to residents who request them. As of today, they’re just going to do the 5 boroughs. They would like to bring it in even closer to the impacted area, and probably use the same boundaries that EPA chose for the residential cleaning program, but they’re looking at whether there’s some sort of basis for picking the smaller area. I wondered if DEP’s survey of rooftop asbestos might help to give them comfort that they’re picking a generous enough area; last I recalled. Canal Street was well away from the farthest building on which asbestos was found. Is there an updated version of DEP’s information available?
