DEP’s responses to DEC’S attached letters dated December 18,2001, and December
19, 2001 concerning the discrepancies in the Wards Island Semi-Annual Compliance
Progress Reports covering the periods July 1,2000-December 31,2000, and January 1,
2001-June 30,2001 are provided below.
PEC’s question in letter dated December 18, 2001 covering the Semi-Annual report period
July 1, 2000-December 31, 2000: The Building Managers Training Sessions attendance lists
for the October 3, November 13, and the December 14,2000 water conservation seminars
are missing.
DEP’s response: The Building Managers Training Sessions attendance lists for the
October 3, November 13, and December 14,2000 seminars were included in HPD’s
July 10,2001 submittal to DEP. A copy of the attached July 10,2001 seminar list and
the corresponding attendance lists were provided to DEC in Appendix G of the Wards
Island Semi-Annual Compliance Progress Report dated August 30,2001 covering the
period January 2001-June 2001. Please note that DEP submits the attendance lists as
they become available.
PEC’s first question in letter dated December 19, 2001 covering the Semi-Annual report
period January 1, 2001-June 30, 2001: On the front cover page, the period should be
January 1, 2001 through June 30, 2001, not January 1, 2001 through June 30,2000 as stated.
DEP’s response: The corrected cover letter is attached. Please discard the referenced
cover letter and replace it with the corrected letter.
PEC’s second question in letter dated December 19, 2001 covering the Semi-Annual report
period January 1, 2001-June 30, 2001: On page fifteen (15), the cumulative totals fi-om
2/1/2001 through 3/31/2001 are respectively 7,199 home kits not 7,189 home kits as stated.
DEP’s response: The corrected page fifteen (15) is attached. Please discard the
referenced page and replace it with the corrected page.
