Dillon Subject: Notes of Buildings-Parks-Data Committee / Database Architecture Meeting

Notes Re: Meeting on Database Architecture: Thursday, April 18 at 1 PM at 100 Gold Street • The Buildings-Parks Data Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 has been postponed. A new date will be announced shortly.

DOITT has the geo-coded map with building “fingerprints” ready to be populated with environmental data. Next week DOITT will begin populating the database with asbestos data from the following agencies: EPA, NYC Board of Education, NYS DOH, NYS DEC, NYC HPD, NYC DOH and DCAS (I will contact OSHA for their data). DOITT will have a prototype of the system ready for city agencies to review via the city-web by Thursday April 25. Access will also be granted to EPA, DEC and NYCDOH to view the , Once all the asbestsos data is uploaded we will begin uploading other data sets. Initially the system will be considered confidential and restricted to agency reviews only, as it will contain apartment-specific information. We need legal guidance on what information to redact prior to granting public access to the data. It was agreed the would function as follows (per my last email): • The initial screen will be a map of lower Manhattan, similar to EPA maps found at http://www.epa.qov/epahome/wtc/index.html#monitorinq
