Landlord/Tenant Relations The BPCA, the Ground Zero Task Force and the various representatives of each building (management and tenants) should meet to facilitate a fair and equitable process for breaking of leases for those tenants which do not want to remain in Battery Park City.
Battery Park City Property Owners Eliminate the land lease and/or PILOT (Payment In Lieu Of Taxes) paid by owners to the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) and the City of New York
Children Transportation to Schools Many people have not moved back to Battery Park City due to the fact that it is impossible for them to get their kids to their temporary schools. Bussing from North and South BPC should be provided until the schools re-open.
The Battery Park City Resident Association looks forward to discussing and resolving these issues with the authorities and representatives in a timely manner. We hope that each item will be addressed by the Ground Zero Task Force at their Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, October 3'“.
