At senior staff this morning, I mentioned our phone conversation yesterday with NYCDOH and Law.
The Commissioner strongly suggests that some decon. be done on the interior of these vehicles while they are still at Fresh Kills (he suggested washing the interior) and he also thinks that we should invite representatives of the insurance industry to meet with us and hopefully agree with the protocol we are instituting. I defer to you as to whether the first suggestion is do-able; I'd defer to Law on the second (Gabe has obviously talked to the plaintiffs in the lawsuit; I am dubious about whether the insurance indystry will "agree" to anything; the exercise may create more difficulty rather than less). Judah - could you talk to Gabe about this aspect please?
Mike -1 don't know how you and Krish feel about this, but you should probably touch base with the Commissioner before you make your final recommendations to NYCDOH about revising the protocol.
