Denise,
As a follow up to our conversation this past Tuesday, (August 20), 1 want to confirm that you have received the cleaning Scope of Work and HVAC Scope of Work. The air monitoring Scope of Work is attached to this e- mail. FYI these scopes are identical (except for the HVAC) to the scopes developed for 125 Cedar Street.
An important thing to consider is that, 125 Cedar has never been professionally cleaned. You should also know that the scopes of work have had input from the USEPA and finally have been reviewed and approved by USEPA. I would appreciate your sharing this information along with the scopes with the board members ASAP. As discussed, you and the board members can e-mail comments to Penny Theodorellys, Deputy Director of the Asbestos Control Program, at [email protected]. We will start the bidding process the week of September 3, so that we can start cleaning immediately upon the selection of a contractor. I'm hopeful that the people of 114 Liberty see our commitment to making their lives in Lower Manhattan productive and pleasurable. I will be on vacation next week. Should you need to speak to someone while I’m away, you can contact Bob Avaltroni, Deputy Commissioner of DEP’s Bureau of Environmental Compliance at (718) 595- 3657 or Penny Theodorellys at (718) 595-3657.
Thanks again for your help.
