Agency Activity

• Attached are the agency. referral results for the month up to October 21 51.

• For the third week, since the implementation of agency target numbers, the NYPD, DOE and DOC all met or exceeded their referral targets. DOH school-based health exceeded their target numbers this week.

• As part of our continued emphasis on quality in the referral process, MOHIA re- trained approximately 185 agency staff people involved in HealthStat. The training focused on the importance of gathering accurate information from families when filling out the contact forms.

• T e Public Advocate's Office and the Mayor's Office of Health Insurance Access he a joint trainin ession for community-based and non-profit organizations in Brown oklyn on October 24h1 . Twenty non-profit organizations attended.

■ The Department of City Planning Office, using 1990 census data, Medicaid enrollment data and the State Department of Health Child Health Plus enrollment data mapped where Medicaid and Child Health Plus eligible children are concentrated within the five boroughs — hard copy attached. This will allow City agencies to more effectively target their HealthStat outreach efforts by zip code. In addition, the Mayor's Office of Operations was able to determine the number of referrals generated by agency and by borough since the beginning of the initiative.
