Delaware Aqueduct - Shaft 6 Valve Repair During the reporting period, DEP undertook repair of a leaking gate valve at Shaft 6 on the Delaware Tunnel) Agueduct. Shaft 6 is the dewatenng shaft for the Rondout to West Branch Tunnel (the portion of the Delaware Aqueduct. Repair of the leaking gate valve was the first step in allowing to the City to investigate and repair the leak in the Tunnel. Shutdown of the Tunnel was necessary complete the repair. The shutdown began on November 28 and took two full days. Dive preparation ~, took another day and the first dive to begin the repair began mid-day Friday. A total of seven dives encountered 1 were made to complete the repair.
