Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)

The NYC Response database contains results for many different individual PAH compounds. The database also contains a `PAH' analyte which contains air sample results from various locations, all from September 16th. Those results are all `<` approximately 5 ppbv.

The Bulk Dust sample results for five (5) representative PAH compounds, including naphthalene, fluoranthene, pyrene, chrysene, and benzo(a)pyrene, representing increasing ring structures, are listed in 11th samples. The highest Table 14. Figure 5 illustrates the concentration profile from the September th PAH concentration found was fluoranthene at 210,000 ppb in the October 8 Corlandt sample.

`na' indicates that the results are not found in the NYC Response database. `nd' indicates that the target compound was not detected.

There have been no PAH in bulk dust entries to the NYC Response database for samples taken since October 8'. The three (3) sampling dates shown in Table 14 suggest an upward trend.
