Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs).

PCB results in the NYC Response database includes Aroclors, PCBs-Totals, and individual PCB Congener BZ #s. Aroclor 1254 and Aroclor 1260 results from the WTC database reveal high levels of Aroclor 1260 in several bulk dust samples from several sampling sites. Three (3) of the ten (10) Aroclor 1260 samples listed in Table 12 were found to contain Aroclor 1260 at levels greater than 1000 mg/Kg (ppm). The four (4) samples from September 16' contained the highest concentrations. Aroclor 1254 results were generally lower or not detected. Other Aroclors, including 1221, 1234, 1242, and 1248, were reported as not detected.

Total PCBs in two (2) bulk dust samples from October 10 were also reported. The reason for the difference between the Aroclor 1260 and PCB-Total results is not known.

Five (5) Aroclor 1260 and 1254 drinking water sample results are also listed in the database. In all five (5) samples, the Aroclors were not detected at 0.05 MCG/L. Thirteen (13) other water samples identified as 'SS-IFO' at various street locations were also analyzed for Aroclors 1254 and 1260. The results for these samples range from 0.16 ug/L to 0.19 ug/L with no detect status indicated. No PCBs- Totals for any water samples were found.

PCB Congener data for water samples was also found in the NYC Response database. In the case of PCB Congener BZ #100, eleven (11) water samples were analyzed. Results range from 0.0051 ug/L to 0.0059 ug/L with no sample location or detect status listed. Similar results for several other PCB
