This in response to your correspondence regarding the cleaning activities at 46 Ann Robert C. Avaltroni Street, Manhattan. Deputy Commissioner

Bureau of The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) contacted Environmental building owners with regard to participating in the NYCDEP's Lower Manhattan Compliance Building Cleaning Program. Under this program, contractors retained by the Tel (718) 595-4418 NYCDEP have been cleaning exterior building surfaces affected by World Trade Fax (718) 595-4422 Center debris.

A licensed contractor under the direction and oversight of NYCDEP removed debris from the exterior surfaces of the above referenced site. Air monitoring was performed during our clean up activities.

The interior cleaning of residential units is part of the USEPA WTC Residential Dust Cleanup Program. Residents may request assistance by contacting the toll- free hotline at (877) 796-5471 or may register at the USEPA web site, www.epa.gov/wtc. Once registered, residents receive a number that they may use for follow-up. . If you have misplaced your assigned number, you may obtain it from the hotline. To follow-up on your request, please contact the USEPA.
