Ambient Air Sampling Ass -o c i A,T E s 1 Il,

Subject: Tribeca Towers 105 Duane Street Re: Ambient Air Sampling To: Peter Hoyle Related Manage ,1t From: Fred Burkhardt • Date: December 13, 2001

On December 12, 2001, at the requ9sj'of and witnessed by the NYCDEP, ATC collected a total of ten ambient air sample within Tribeca Tower. Five samples were collected from the from

common hallway of the tenth floor, with one sample placed directly in front of the supply air entry point. A second set of five ambient air samples were collected from the second floor air handler room servicing the common areas including the tenth floor. In the absence of a specific ambient standard, ATC has selected as a criteria for acceptable air

ambient air sample sets, the AHERA re-occupancy requirement following an asbestos abatement action of an average of less than 70 asbestos structures per square millimeter (<70 s/mm2) per sample set. This criteria has been selected because the AHERA requirement is the most stringent airborne asbestos cupancy standard available, and has been designed to be reoc.

protective of children following an asbestos abatement project.

Based upon analytical sample results for all samples recording no asbestos structures detected which is significantly below the AHERA clearance requirement. It is ATC's opinion that the ambient air samples collected from these areas are representative of the ambient conditions at the time of testing and that the areas tested meet an acceptable criterion for re-occupancy. If you have any questions or require additional explaination of the information presented please do not hesitate to call me at 212-353-8280.

Thank You.
