At the meeting we discussed the information that was available to us, and the decisions we made in the days after the tragedy:

1. We cleaned and shampooed all the common area carpets. 2. We turned off incremental air conditioning units in every apartment. 3. All the common area A/C units were shut down, filters changed and serviced by our a/c contractor before they were restarted. 4. We inspected approximately 20 apartments and found no indication of dust accumulations. 5. EPA and NY City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) findings in the first weeks indicated no health risk to residents from ambient air quality in the area of the building on the basis of asbestos testing in particular. DEP guidelines specifically characterized our obligation to use wet methods and HEPA vacuums to clean up dust accumulations. However, we did not see any evidence of dust in the building or in the 20 apartments we reviewed.

Over the last 10 days in particular there have been articles written and meetings held questioning what may be in the air that is not being tested for by EPA in the immediate area of the building and this is certainly creating concern for all of us. Therefore going forward:

1. We will initiate a protocol of air testing that will be established by our licensed consultant, ATC Associates. We will be testing on all fl oors and common areas on Wednesday October 24th and Thursday October 25th. If you want one of the tests to be in your apartment please sign the request at the concierge desk and we will try to accommodate you subject to the schedule of ATC technicians. Be aware that one of our residents has requested that the testing be performed between midnight and 6:00 am. If so, we will limit it and will advise you in advance if there is any expected significant noise. 2. The test we will use in the building will be the Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) method of testing for asbestos fibers as small as 0.5 microns. This test can
