Fat rooms, air intakes, me4anicai ruuma, clevattrr molts, etc., were subjected to a proeeess using the ienvironmental contractors. The fan +nits were dally = and the filters werq replaced. The HVAC system became operational on 04tober 15d 2001.

The building has drained, craned and flushed its water system and has also treated the water with chlorine.

2.4 Eavironmeetal Testing During Building Rebabilitatloa

Hiihnann eorntrnen cad envirolnme aLsl tasting em the September 16th 2001. Daily air m Pnitoring was conducted ` ttlrcu$tom the building. This sampling included p crs such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, respirable dust, combustible g o levels, hydrogen sul1ide~ oxygen and volatile organic compounds measured by Photo ionization Detection. ,Samples were also collected and analyzed for airborne silica dust and metals, sulf*ie acid gases, volatile organic compounds by temple analysis and surface wipe examples for Poly Chlorinated Bipbonyls, Poly Nuclear mattes and Priority Pollutant Metals, Hillmann has also performed extensive d41y asbestos air monitorini throughout the building. Some asbestos air samples during the initial cles+up phase (before the windows were sealed) Indicated leVels above 0.01 fibers per Cc. Other parameters measured in the building were at aceptsble levels, except for!occasional clovated carbon monoxide levels due to the s$a of generators operating o}saside of the building. Sines the building has restored its pgwer, the use of generators has ceased and the level& have retested to normal. _Some volatile organic compound levels measured by Photo Ionization Detection (direct read aeuipment) were notable, but samples collected in these locations and sent for laboratory analysis did not reveal elevated levels for any specific volatile organic coanpoutt ds. Some wipe imltples nor metals contained detectable concenMations of zinc and sate dead. However, *tense of the airborne metals samples collected captained elevated metals, just trace amounts of copper and t,itto. Cleaning methods being employed will elimin+ge these metal dusts.

There was no visible waist • damage or sutural darn688, except for minor water lc$ks in some of the upper floors and water intrusion in the sublevel walkway access to nitel to the World Trade Center. These water releases have been repaired and cleaned. The water intro ign in the sublevel appears to be run-off from fire hose water and does not appear tt pose a currant health risk. Odors emanating from the adjaentt properties have bcn noted within the structure, especially when the wind blwa in the direction of O$i. Liberty Plaza. The air quality was tested frequently diring these events and th did not al[bot air quality readings. The odors have
