This causes discomfort but doos not present danger. •- A large concentration of lead, occassionally surpassing the EPA'ssafety standards -- A large concentration of carbon, often surpassing the EPA's safetystandards Dr. Chang also said his team and a similar team of scientists at PutgersUniversity hope they will have the funding necessary to continue monitoringthese levels for the duration of the WTC cleanup process.
There was an additional panelist, whose name & organisation I did notcatch. She was a Specialist in the area of Radioactive Contamination. Addressing the question of whether or not there is radioactive contaminationof the air, soil and water, she said; "...the probability is extremelyremote." This issue is monitored by both the Radiation Control Officeof the Department of Health and private, independent agencies.
