World Trade Center, including collecting all loose debris, washing loose gravel, and wet wiping other
specifications prepared the City of New York Department of Environmental Protection
surfaces, as described in
and submitted as components of this application
In reviewing this proposal, the Commission noted that the designation report describes 92 Reade Street as a
neo-Grec style store and loft building constructed in 1860-61. The Commission also notes that there is some
debris on the roof.
Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds that the work on the roof will not require the removal of
any significant protected architectural material; that it will not detract from the architectural character
of the building or streetscape; and that cleaning the roof wilt bring the building closer to its historic
condition. Therefore, the Commission has no objection to the work proceeding at this time, or the issuance of
permits by any other city agency.
A copy of this permit have been sent to the Department of Environmental Protection.
