To whom it may concern:

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) Holiday Work Embargo begins on Monday, November 18, 2002. and runs through Thursday. January 2, 2003. During this period, at! permitted work must cease. Our records indicate that you have active permits in Lower Manhattan, defined as Canal Street and south, which will be affected by the embargo.

In order to continue work through the embargo period. contractors must apply for a waiver from DOT. Contractors who do not receive a waiver are not permitted to work during the embargo. A waiver is denoted on the permit by the stipulation code 410. Applications for waivers should be mailed to:
