Re: 200 Water Street

Dear R. Radhakrishnan:

We received your letter dated 4/13!02 and apologi?e for the delay :i '•esponding to your request for information. New York University had leased (and still does lease) the building's apartments for use as student housing. Immediately after 11 we were a/

advised by NYU that they had arranged for the appropriate environmental hazard testing and analysis for the building and were subsequently advised that the assessments were negative. Recently we received a fax of the attached letter dated 5/8/02 from NYU's Department of Environmental Services to your office. It states that the information you requested accompanied that letter.

Below, in addition, are the cleanup measures we successfully carried out in a timely manner to complement the NYU authorized professional services. Change filters of all HVAC units in all apartments. Note: Since all apartment units are heat pump units, they temper recirculated room air and do not have grilles to the outside of the building. No windows were found to be open on 9/11 and residents kept them closed afterward. Wash building exterior, including roof. Hepa vacuum all public corridors and common areas. Change filter, and clean all non-apartment HVAC units. Power washed the grounds in front and in back of the building. Thoroughly washed or replaced as needed plants, planters an-d planting bed materials inside and outside the building.

During the months following the attack, we monitored the testing resuts posted on the EPA web site relative to our building location. We are continuing t assess the condition of our building exterior and HVAC units for cleanliness related to the 9/11 terror attack and are ready to address any serious, revealed health concerns.

{., Sincerely, Rockrose Development Corp. As agent for 127 John Str et Realty L.L.C.
