We received the silica air samples yesterday (DEP Cleanup, 15-22906-0002) and have them scheduled for completion on Monday, Oct. 14. We will fax the results to your office after lunch on Monday. If you need to call about this sample delivery group you can reference our work order number R02100360. Regarding the dioxin wipe samples collected at 125 Cedar Street, I am hoping to have the first set of results for you late this afternoon. I was told by our subcontract lab (which is also a PSC facility in Burlington, Ontario) that they expect to have half of the samples completed by Oct. 15/16 and the other half by the end of the month. High resolution dioxin analysis is a tedious process with very strick QA/QC requirements and turn- around times for analysis are typically 3-4 weeks for small groups of samples. In this case, analysis of all 66 samples will take the better part of six weeks. We've divided the 66 samples into four work orders so that we can report results to you as they become available. Our work order numbers for these samples are: R02090951, R02090957, R02090971 and R02090972 (18, 18, 12, and 18 samples respectively). I will email results to you as they become available. I will not be in the laboratory on Monday, 10/14, however Diana Kehler (ext. 226) will be looking after your samples. I will ask her to fax the silica results when they are ready. You will not get any dioxin results on Monday - it is Thanksgiving in Canada, but we will look for them on Tuesday. If you have any questions please get back to me. Thanks!
